Unfortunate Muses is the next chapter in a 16-year journey of wearable art created by me, Kirbee Lawler.
My work began in laser cut acrylic, but as the years passed, I found myself drawn to something deeper- pieces that feel like heirlooms. Objects that carry memory, meaning, and the weight of time.
Unfortunate Muses speaks to the imperfect inspirations behind what drives me to create - heartbreak, obsession, nostalgia, chaos, grief, longing, rage. The moments we don’t choose, but that shape us all the same.
Each piece is hand carved, cast and formed with intention. These are talismans for the emotionally fluent- jewellery for those who feel too much, dream too big, and find beauty in the mess.
This is for the muses who never asked to be one.
Welcome to Unfortunate Muses.
